Pre-Arrival Info

  1. There is no cell phone service at the ranch. Each accommodation has high-speed Wi-Fi . We recommend you utilize your wi-fi calling feature on your phone. The town of Boulder does have cell phone service. In addition, we have a landline available for guest use in the Great Room .

  2. It’s wise to bring cash with you, as there is no ATM in Boulder. Though all local businesses accept credit cards, the nearest ATM is 45 minutes away in Escalante.

  3. Though not necessary to get to BMGR or around town, 4 wheel drive is useful to get to some hiking locations

  4. Please keep in mind that weather affects access to certain areas of interest. Boulder Mountain can get a lot of snow and some vehicles can get stuck easily. Most snow will come between December and March, but our weather is unpredictable and there is always a chance of a late spring or early fall snowstorm.

  5. We are located at 6,700 feet. Some people feel the effects of altitude more than others. Be sure to drink a lot of water before and during your stay. If needed, we sell a variety of over-the-counter medications & electrolyte packets in our store!

  6. We suggest dressing in layers. Night time temperatures in the desert are vastly colder than daytime temperatures. The heat comes from the sun and when the sun goes down you can find yourself quite chilly in the shorts and a t-shirt you were sweating in just an hour before.

  7. The sun is very strong in the desert. It is best to bring things like sunscreen, lip balm, a hat, and a water bottle with you. We do not sell plastic water bottles, but you may fill your bottle with fresh spring water.

  8. We have a store in our main office with drinks, light snacks, prepared food items, toiletries, books, etc..

  9. We will not be offering continental breakfast for the 2023 season, however we will be offering prepared breakfast items for sale in our store. Please make sure to purchase these in between store hours of operation. Complimentary Coffee & tea will be available in all accommodations along with in our Great Room

  10. Front desk/store hours are 3-8:30Pm (Hours subject to change)

  11. Sweetwater Kitchen is currently OPEN! Please click the tab below for further information regarding to-go orders & reservation!
